Thank You and Thank You

I’m here to interrupt our regularly scheduled programming for a heartfelt post of gratitude. A big ol’ Thank You!

Thank you to the best audience in the blogosphere!

Seriously you guys. You. Are. Awesome! I have wanted to blog for years…although not necessarily┬áblog. I wanted to write a bunch of stuff and put it on the internet for people to read. I didn’t even know that it was called blogging for a long time. (How behind am I??) Anyway… I was always so timid about it. I felt like if only strangers read it, great! But I knew I needed to go through the people I actually knew first. And that was intimidating.

I was honestly panicked the day I finally launched Rusty Basket to the world. I asked all of my Facebook friends to like my new page, and then I wanted to go crawl under a rock and die so I didn’t have to see people react. I feared you would pretend to be nice or actually be mean. Normally I’m so confident. This venture was a huge exception.

But do you know what happened? Of course you do! You are the ones who did it! You accepted my request. You liked my page. You read my articles. You cared. And maybe a few of you have pretended your niceness čśë but surely not all of you. No one reacted rudely. I was and am floored. I am amazed. I am humbled. And I feel so loved. Thank you.

More than once, you have approached me (in real life no less!) to tell me you love my blog and have read all the articles I’ve ever written. Do you know how humbling and how amazing that is to me? My own mother hasn’t read them all! (Still love you anyway Mom!) You ask me questions. You give me feedback. I love it!

I guess I just couldn’t let another day pass without telling you how seriously grateful I am. You guys could have destroyed my dream from day one but instead you have done nothing but encourage and promote and share and pour your love out on me.

For that, thank you.

You are the best.

PS…You’ve unknowingly inspired me to blog. Writing is a huge therapy for me but I’m still worried about what to write, or more, what not to write!

AH! Yay!!! I don’t have any advice there. All the Pros tell you to pick something and stick there. I say psh! Write about anything and everything until you find what you like best…and what your readers like best. I’m excited for you!

Seriously Calli, it’s like you’ve been reading my mind. You’ve been posting everything I’ve been needing. I’m not even joking. I will say this though, reading your blog does makes me miss you!

Oh Carly, I miss you too! I’m so sad we never got to meet up back when Simeon was born. We will need to just plan something already!
