Baby Knudsen #3 Gender Reveal

So if you missed it in this post, we are having baby #3! Hooray!

I finally hit 20 weeks and got to go get an ultrasound to find out the gender on Monday. So exciting! My awesome sister-in-law gave me an ultrasound a week or so before but it was a small machine from a clinic and Baby kept sitting with its legs crossed so we couldn’t tell if it was a boy or girl. I did get to see that it looked pretty normal, was adorable, and thankfully, there was only one baby in there! (Twins would probably send me over the crazy ledge.)

I always have the hardest time waiting for the ultrasound to tell me what it is! And I never do gender reveal parties, because honestly, I can’t wait any longer to know! Apparently, I’m the only one who still feels this way. Nobody thinks it’s cool anymore by the time you have a third baby. I went to my appointment alone, despite the fact that I invited other people. I didn’t mind but I felt bad they missed out on an awesome experience.

This was the best ultrasound machine I’ve ever seen! (I’ve never done the whole 3D thing ’cause they kind of give me the creeps.) I could see the baby swallow. And suck its thumb. And throw its legs up over its head like a Yoga Master! This will be an awesome kid for sure. It exuded happiness and excitement. I’ve been a little nervous about having a third child (more kids than hands is never good!) but after seeing the ultrasound and watching this tiny little human playing, I think we have room for one more.

And since I love you all, I will finally stop using “it” and let you know what we’re having. (I couldn’t help a little torture! I’ve been putting up with the suspense for months; I had to stall for at least a few paragraphs!)

So, announcing, Knudsen Baby #3:

Yes, that is really him in the ultrasound picture, doing yoga or something!

We are so excited! Everyone expected me to be disappointed that we will have 3 boys and no girls but I’m actually stoked for another boy to join the family. I love that I have all the clothes and other things I will need for him. I love that he will have his brothers. I love the Halloween costume ideas I’m already coming up with! The only thing I don’t love is trying to name him! We have a perfect and wonderful little girl name but no little boy names! We are making a list but suggestions are more than welcome! We like less common names but nothing WAY out there. We also think Alonzo or Wade will be the middle name. (We always use family names as middle names.)

So PLEASE! help us figure out some names for this awesome little baby boy that will be coming our way around November 4th. Leave them in the comments and if they fit, I’ll be adding them to our list. 🙂

Wahoooo we find out July 28! I would totally love another little boy. They are my favorite! We also only have a little girl name but no boy name picked out yet.
But the ones I really like but not so much Jake:
    *Stein (My #1 fav!)
    *Oskar
    *Oliver
    *Milo
    *Finch
When I told Jake these names he thought I was joking. I can’t wait to hear what you pick!

Thanks for your suggestions! I could name kids pretty easily if we didn’t have to agree on the name with our husbands! 🙂

I’m so excited for you, Calli! Congratulations over and over. I would not change the decisions we made years ago to have children. They bless and enrich our lives. They make us less selfish and more loving. And with each one it’s a new adventure because they are never (!) alike, whether they be all boys or mixed. They are unique and special.
    Good for you!!

Thanks Chris! If every child makes you a better person, you must be pushing perfect! I do love getting to see each kid’s personality show up. It’s crazy how the same DNA can make such different people!
